The Universal Health Care Bias

There will be a new bias inserted into the traditional Hippocratean practice of medicine if HR 3200 “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009″ (AKA ObamaCare) is signed into law.  The liberal policy makers will disregard the originalist approach to the Hippocratic Oath just as they have the United States Constitution.  The new approach will be based in the liberal worldview and will be prepared to make “necessary sacrifices” at the expense of human life, regardless of its stage, because it will not recognize the dignity of human life.  Furthermore, the approach will be driven by economic expediency.

This universal health care birthed out of a government that does not recognize the dignity of human life will be a nightmare.  When I am taking care of a patient in the ICU I sure as heck don’t want a bureaucrat created economic driven protocol created from that government making a decision for me.  Neither should you.
